Less than TWO WEEKS until the 2017 summer staff arrive on the shores of Big Blue Lake! We hope you’re as excited as we are. Have you noticed any familiar faces? Meet Ellie, Rena, Romero and Kasia:
Hey Pendy Pals!! My name is Ellie and this will be my 10th summer on Big Blue and 4th as a counselor. Even though I’ve been going to Pendalouan for about half my life, each year I’m even more excited to spend time in Michigan cooking up tasty campfire treats, hanging out on the zip tree, and meeting tons and tons of cool campers! Though I go to school in Kentucky, where I’m studying to become a speech therapist, I’m currently living in Granada, in southern Spain. I’m loving practicing my Spanish, taking a siesta every day (almost as good as rest hour), and traveling around Europe. In the five months I’m here, I’ll have gone to seven different countries! See y’all back in the states in a few short weeks for the best summer yet- Hail Pendalouan!
Hey everyone! My name is Rena and I could not be more excited for summer to start. This will be my seventh year going to Pendalouan and my second year on staff. Pendy has become my home away from home. I currently live in Grand Rapids and in the fall I will be attending Grand Valley State University to study athletic training. I couldn’t be more excited to make new friends this summer and to have an incredible time at camp
Hello, I’m Romero! I live in North Muskegon and go to reeths puffer high school. I like skateboarding and free running. I spent 3 years as a camper, 1 year as an LIT and 1 year as a CIT. This year I’ll be a junior counselor! I love the energy at camp an am excited to stretch my wings as a counselor this summer. See you soon!
Hi, I’m Kasia! This will be my first year as a camp counselor, and second summer at Camp Pendalouan! I am currently a junior in high school, graduating class of 2018 at Muskegon Catholic Central. I like to read, spend time outdoors, and take naps. I am always up for new adventures, and my favorite color is blue! I am so excited to meet hundreds of new faces this summer, and make life-lasting memories! I am looking forward to spending my summer with carefree kids in the warm, sunny weather this year! 🙂
