The Faces of Summer 2017

These people have a tremendous amount of positive energy, coming together each summer to give campers an experience they will never forget.  These people are fun, passionate, positive role models; they are the Pendalouan camp counselors of summer 2017.  It’s time for staff bios!  Meet Becca, Abby, Jack and Charlie:

BeccaHi everyone! My name is Becca and this will be my second summer spent on Big Blue! I’m currently a sophomore at Michigan State University and studying within the business college (Go Green!). Some of my favorites things are my chacos which are worn 24/7 at camp, my dog, and just being outside in general. While last year may have been my first year, it was all of you that made it so special and now camp my favorite place in the world. I cannot wait for summer where my diet can consist of s’mores, where dance parties are a regular thing and where all of my favorite people are. Super excited to see you all soon!

AbbyHello!! My name is Abby and I’m from La Grange, Illinois. I will be a freshman at Fordham University in New York City next fall. As much as I love the city I absolutely cannot wait to spend my summer on the Big Blue Lake singing songs and making new friends. This will be my first summer ever at Pendalouan and I am thrilled for this new experience. I love the outdoors and I am so excited to swim, hike, play games, and make some amazing memories. See you soon!!!

JackHowdy all! My name is Jack and I’m excited to return to the shores of Big Blue Lake this Summer! I was a camper at ye’ old Pendy for six years and this will be my third year on Staff. That is nine years total of Pendalouan filled fun! I love returning to camp because of the crazy, fun themes each week and the extraordinary campers and staff. I personally believe that Pendalouan has some of the most diverse, fun, and energetic faces one could ever meet. When I’m not at camp I’m studying at Northern Michigan University in lovely Marquette, Michigan (Go Wildcats!). Some of my favorite things include nature, reading, running, or just all around fun! I can’t wait to get back to camp festivities and sing loud and proud. See you all for a wonderful summer!

CharlieI’m Charlie and this will be my first year as a counselor at Pendalouan! This will be my 8th summer at big Blue Lake. I’m from North Muskegon and I attend Reeths-Puffer High School. I love reading and I always have to stop and pet a dog whenever I see one. I personally can’t wait to eat foil dinners this summer and to meet a ton of amazing people!

Stay tuned for the next round of bios coming later this week.  Three cheers for summer 2017!
